Bruce D. Cowen, 59, of Clinton, died on January 20.
He was born May 4, 1954 in Utica, a son of Clement H. and Patricia A. Bartlett Cowen. He grew up in Waterville where he graduated from Waterville High School and later from SUNY, Delhi. On July 16, 1982, he married Mary Beth Manion at St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. He worked at Bartell Machinery Systems in Rome for the past 7 years, and also had own company, Cowen Construction at one time. He was a director at the Clinton Fish and Game Club and an active member of the Vernon National Shooting Preserve.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Cowen and Andrea Lyn Cowen both of Albany; his mother, Patricia A. Cowen, of Newark, DE; and brother Bradley (Sarah) Cowen of Wilmington, DE. He was predeceased by his father, Clement H. Cowen and a brother Brian D. Cowen.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 25, from the Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY.
