Raymond Bugbee, 93, died in Wildwood, Florida on December 19.
He was born on August 27, 1920 in Ashby, Massachusetts, to Yvonne Rouleau and Lester Bugbee. Raymond served in the United States Army during World War II from March 1939 until June 1945, as a Heavy Machine Gunner and Scout. He served two years of continental service and four years foreign service including Bismark, Archipelago, New Guinea, Southern Philippines, and Australia. His notable Military achievements include; American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge GO 112 Hq USAFFE 8 May 45, Philippines Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star.
He lived in Clinton, New York and worked as a truck driver until retiring. He was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Bugbee; his children Reba Schlaepfer, John Bugbee, Brian Bugbee, Michell Phillips, David Bugbee, Tracey Bugbee, and Renee Brannick; his grandchildren, Michael, Dawn, Adam, Johanna, Adam, Austin, Brian Jr., Kristen, Nathan, Sarah, Brittany and Jack; his four great grandchildren; his siblings, Lester, Lillian, Yvonee (Cookie), Barbara and Bunny.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne Rouleau and Lester Bugbee, his wife, Reba Quillman and his siblings, Pricilla, Herman and Robert.
