Roberta “Bobbie” J. Dawes, 76, of Clinton, died on Feb.10, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
She was born in Clinton on April 9, 1936, to Lloyd and Marjorie (Roberts) Dawes.  She graduated from Clinton Central School and  Utica College. 
She was a first grade teacher in New York Mills and retired after over 30 years of service. 
She is survived by her brother, Douglas Dawes, Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Rosemary Dawes, Skaneateles; two nieces and a nephew, Bethany and Doug Walawender, Skaneateles, Chrysostom and Tanya Dawes, Oregon, and Cassaundra and Dan Ballard, Henderson, Nev.; several great nieces and nephews, Griffin and Brinley Walawender, Gabriella and Zachary Ballard, Kirsten, Avory and Khrystina Dawes; and a great great nephew Ryan; aunt Kathryn Dawes, Clinton, and cousin, Jerry and Pat Dawes and their family.  She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Frederick Dawes.
Funeral services will be held on Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at St. James’ Episcopal Church, Williams Street, Clinton with burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery.  All are invited to call Feb. 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton.  OES Bell Tower Chapter #188 will conduct services at 6:30 pm.
