Eileen Raha, formerly of Clinton and New York City, died on July 18, 2012, in Fairport, N.Y., after a sudden brief illness. She was 69.
Her family lived on Chestnut Street and she had four children in Clinton schools. She was a past president/officer of the Parent-Teacher Organization and ran the school science fair for several years. She was a booster for Clinton Youth Hockey, Clinton Little League, and sewed costumes for the Clinton Figure Skating Club annual ice show. Her family hosted two A B etter Chance program students.
While living in Clinton, she earned a second bachelor’s degree in Medical Record Administration from SUNY-IT and worked at Faxton Hospital, Community General Hospital in Syracuse, and Eden Park Nursing Home in Utica. She was also a consultant for the medical records departments of the Presbyterian Home and the Rome Nursing Home. She moved to the Rochester area to be near her grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Chris (Katha), Kevin (Sharon), Mary, and Bill; sister Barbara (Amy); eight grandchildren, Ben, Maris, Andrew, Zachary, Evan, Allison, Michael, and Max; and former husband, Michael (Linda). Daughter Kathleen, sister Dorothy, and parents John and Viola, died before her.
The family did not provide funeral details.
