Cynthia R. Silfer, MD, 54, of Brimfield Street, died on July 1, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital.

She was born in Wichita, Kan., on April 7, 1958, to Dr. Floyd and Margaret Hemphill Grillot. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Doctorate from University of Oklahoma School of Medicine.

She married Jeffrey Silfer on May 16, 1987.  After completing her anesthesia residency at Vermont Medical Center, they settled in Clinton, where she became a partner with Sunset Anesthesia Associates.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Matthew and Daniel; her parents, Palm Harbo, Fla.; brothers, Dr. Stephen Grillot, Wichita, Rick  and Leanne, Tallahassee, Fla., Marc and Lisa, St. Louis, Mo., and Dr. Michael and Sherrie, Springfield, Mo.; and many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins.
