Highlights from the January 23 issue

The student section at the Clinton varsity boys’ basketball game on Jan. 18 was dressed in white, as well as most other fans, to watch Clinton play Holland Patent. Clinton won the game 66-62. The game was the First Annual Whiteout game for the school. The first 200 fans were given customized white t-shirts to wear during the game. The game was sponsored by Access Federal Credit Union.

The Village Board was presented with the idea of purchasing cameras, or hiring an outside contractor, to scope the sewer lines in Clinton after Waste Water Treatment Plant director James Cunningham said leaks in the system caused spikes in the amount of sewage in the Clinton Sewer System. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Highlights from the January 16 issue

The removal of asbestos wrap on pipes in crawl spaces throughout Clinton Central School is one of the many projects listed on the school's proposed Capital Project. Not only will the asbestos have to be removed, but everything in the crawl spaces must be cleaned as well. The projected cost for the removal is $1,038,946. The public will vote to approve or disapprove the project on Feb. 12.
